Creating an account
On the sign-up page, enter your name, your email and a password of at least 8 characters, agree to the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, and create your account. ZEROBiE sends a message to your email with a link to confirm the address. Opening the link confirms the address and signs you in. If the message does not arrive, use Resend email.
You can also choose Continue with Google to create an account and sign in with your Google account.
Signing in
On the sign-in page, enter your email and password, or choose Continue with Google. Remember me keeps you signed in on that browser.
After repeated failed attempts an account is locked for a while, and the page says Account locked. Wait and try again, or reset your password.
Resetting your password
On the sign-in page, choose Forgot password, enter your email and submit. ZEROBiE sends a reset link to that address. Open the link, enter a new password of at least 8 characters, confirm it, and sign in with the new password. A reset link that is invalid or has expired is refused; request a new one from the sign-in page.
Project roles
Your role is set per project, by an owner of that project, so you can be an owner of one project and a viewer of another.
An owner has full control of the project, its members and its files, including publishing a file and deleting the project. An editor can upload, share and remove files, start new versions, run analyses, work on findings and manage IDS specifications, and cannot change members or delete the project. A viewer can open everything in the project and comment, and cannot change anything else.
When an action is not available to your role, ZEROBiE either does not offer it or says why it was refused.
Workflow roles
Workflow roles are separate from project roles. They decide who may act on a file as it moves between states: author, checker, reviewer, approver, authorizer, acceptor and recipient.
A new member starts with the workflow roles that match their project role: an owner is an author, approver and authorizer; an editor is an author and approver; a viewer is a recipient. An owner can change a member's workflow roles in the members dialog, under ISO 19650 workflow roles. For example, a member needs the checker or reviewer role to accept or reject a file that has been submitted for check. Changing a member's project role resets their workflow roles to the ones that match the new role.
The two kinds of role govern different things. Uploading and removing files, and managing the project and its members, depend on your project role. Moving a file between states, and checking, reviewing and approving it, depend on your workflow roles alone, so a member with any project role can be given, for example, the checker role.
